Counselling for deeper self-understanding and meaningful change

I’m Kate Archer, MA, RCC, CCC. I offer depth-oriented counselling for adults navigating neurodivergence, trauma, life transitions, difficult relationship patterns, and questions of identity or meaning.

My approach is grounded in Jungian depth psychology and creates space to explore not only what is happening in your life, but what may be happening beneath the surface.

In-person counselling in the Comox Valley and virtual counselling throughout Canada.

Areas of Focus

Neurodivergence
Support for ADHD, autism, masking, burnout, overwhelm, identity, self-understanding, and navigating a world that may not always fit the way you think or experience things.

Trauma and Relational Patterns
A space to explore the lasting impact of difficult experiences, family dynamics, attachment patterns, boundaries, and the ways the past can continue to shape the present.

Life Transitions and Identity
Support through periods of change, uncertainty, loss, growth, or becoming. Therapy can help you make sense of what is shifting and reconnect with a deeper sense of who you are.

Whatever brings you to therapy, my work is grounded in curiosity about both the immediate challenge and the deeper patterns, meaning, and inner life surrounding it.

Treatment Approaches

My work draws primarily from Jungian depth psychology and a person-centred approach. Depending on your needs, I may also integrate psychodynamic therapy, Parts or Internal Family Systems-informed work, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, sandplay therapy, and other creative or experiential approaches.

Rather than applying a single method to every person, I tailor therapy to you, your goals, and what emerges in the work.

Why Inner Alchemy

Alchemy is an ancient process of transformation. In therapy, the work is not about becoming someone entirely new, but about working with what is already present: the wounds, patterns, contradictions, strengths, and parts of yourself that may have been hidden or neglected.

Inner Alchemy reflects the belief that meaningful change can emerge when we turn toward these experiences with curiosity and care. Like alchemy, therapy can involve refining, integrating, and transforming what feels difficult into greater understanding, wholeness, and a more authentic way of being.
