About Me

Hello, I’m Kate Archer, and welcome to my practice, Inner Alchemy. I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), and depth-oriented therapist with over a decade of experience in the mental health field.

In 2017, I completed my BA in Psychology at Vancouver Island University. It was during this time that I became captivated by the world of Depth Psychology and the work of Carl Jung. I was drawn to the idea that meaningful change can come from understanding not only our symptoms, but also the deeper patterns, experiences, and inner conflicts shaping them.

In 2021, I completed my MA in Counselling Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute, specializing in Depth Psychology and Marriage and Family Counselling. During my studies, I came to appreciate more deeply the transformative potential of this work. My thesis explored my own journey of inner alchemy and the presence and impact of the ancestral shadow.

Being diagnosed with ADHD later in life has also become part of my own process of re-understanding myself. It has given me a personal appreciation for how a neurodivergent lens can reshape the way we understand our history, our struggles, and experiences that may have felt confusing for years.

Outside of my practice, I love spending time with my husband and our two rescue cats. I enjoy being in nature, playing video games, getting absorbed in a good show, and exploring my creativity through drawing, painting, and DIY projects.

At Inner Alchemy, I see the therapeutic relationship as central to the work we do together. I aim to offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can bring your whole self and explore what is happening both on the surface and beneath it. My approach is collaborative and tailored to you, making room for your experiences, strengths, struggles, inner world, and the parts of yourself that may be asking for greater attention or understanding.

Therapy does not have to be about becoming someone different. It can be a process of coming into a deeper relationship with yourself, integrating what has been hidden or neglected, and moving toward a life that feels more authentic and fully your own.
